We are delighted that Dr. Alon Wellner will join our group as a postdoctoral fellow starting next month! Alon most recently led projects at biotech startups, where he focused on developing bacteriophage therapies and scaling RNAi. Before that, Alon completed his PhD with Dan Tawfik at the Weizmann Institute, where Alon did impressive work in protein evolution and biochemistry, including studying protein sequence divergence and incompatibility as well as how proteins discriminate phosphate over arsenate. Alon also did great work in molecular evolution and genetics as a masters student at Tel Aviv University. He received his B.Sc. from Tel Aviv University. Welcome Alon!
